2023 Spring Retreat Recap!
We had an amazing two-day conference at the Cliffview Lodge in Campton, Kentucky (Red River Gorge!) The weekend was filled with fun social events, professional development sessions hosted by engineering professionals, and “speed-networking” with local companies.
 
The mission of this event was two-fold; we wanted to provide our members with professional development opportunities while also allowing everyone to relax and make some new friends in SWE. We structured the weekend to be a casual and more relaxed environment than the national or local conference. 
 
Friday night, we checked into the lodge, ate dinner a catered by Qdoba, and spent the rest of the evening taking part in fun activities, games, and DIY projects. Saturday morning started off with breakfast, professional development sessions, networking events, and lunch. The afternoon left free time for hiking or relaxing. Saturday night we had Miguels Pizza (a Red River Gorge classic) and more fun activities (candle-making, DIY spa stuff, canvas painting, hot cocoa bar).  Sunday morning, an optional yoga session and breakfast were offered before heading back home.
