There are three types of memberships:
- Collegiate [$20]: This is the basic one-year membership. If you are a senior getting ready to go into industry, we recommend getting this membership option.
- Collegiate to Career [$50]: This membership covers every year you are in college (graduate school included) PLUS the first year you are in industry. A single year of membership for a professional is pricey, so you are saving a LOT of money this way. We recommend most all members get this option.
- Joint: Take advantage of a reduced joint membership rate when you join both SWE and one of these three professional organizations: The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
How to Purchase Membership
If you are not yet a member of SWE:
- Go to swe.org
- Select "join" under the "membership" tab at the top of the screen.
- Follow the instructions to check out. You'll have the option of purchasing a one-year membership for $20 or a C2C membership for $50. The latter will include membership for your full collegiate career, plus one year of professional membership.
